Puri Beach - Puri beach is a popular weekend
getaway for tourists not just from other parts of Orissa, but also from
West Bengal and Andhra Pradesh. The Puri beach is part of the 150 km
long coastline of the Puri district which extends into Jagatsingpur and
Ganjam.
The beach in Puri is known for its fine white sands and the high waves
that break on its shores. The stretches are never crowded, and there's
enough space for long, undisturbed hours of relaxation. The local
fishermen double up as sailors if you wish to take a cruise on their
boats.
